Earlier this year I was delighted to have my first wedding at Wood Hall Hotel & Spa in Whetherby, and it's a venue that simply takes. your. breath. away.
The driveway up to the hotel has the most incredible scenery and stunning views of the grounds and house itself, and you can't help but get butterflies, because you know something special is going to happen when you arrive.
Georgina and Eliot got married on the 1st July 2018. And these guys are hands down the cutest couple in the North of England. Not only are they young and beautiful (god I miss my 20's!) but they are so down to earth. Georgina brought her wedding file organiser to our first meeting, complete with pictures, bridal party numbers, wedding timings... basically all the details which I always need and I knew we'd hit it off straight away. Eliot, at first, was very cool about the flowers, happy to go with whatever G wanted, but by the end he wasn't only speaking up about his favourite looks but coming up with his own floral ideas! Safe to say, we both succeeded in getting him excited about flowers! After all, they are a huge part of any wedding and can really help bring your theme together.
Ever the fashionable gal, Georgina had picked pale violets to be her wedding colour theme, which of course, was also 2018's Pantone colour of the year! We picked the most beautiful, soft hydrangeas and lisianthus stems paired with ivy and cream roses for the bridal bouquet. Faux gypsophila for the smaller bridesmaids (always goes down well with the little ones!) and some impressive silver candelabras with trailing ivy and small hints of this seasons colour, violet.
Take a look at Georgina's wedding here and be inspired!
It was a pleasure to work with you Georgina and Eliot and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, Dani x
