This wedding trend started a couple of years ago and now it's everywhere, it's everything... it's huge!
In fact, I can't even remember the last Pinterest wedding I saw without one.
It is of course the CEREMONY BACKDROP...
Something which our faux is definitely a friend of. From floral hoops to archways and hanging garlands to tipis, you name it and I've probably pinned it!
Think about it. If you don't have an actual backdrop what do you say your 'I Do's' in front of? It's like that episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, the one in Barbados, where Joey is hitting on a woman, telling her he's an actor who plays Doctor Drake Ramoray and she says, "I'm sorry, I don't own a TV" and Joey replies, "what's all your furniture pointed at?"
Right? Same story.
So here's some of my favourite ideas for the all important backdrop, including some of my own DB designs which are available to hire now!
P.S This is only my 2nd blog this year! How bad is that? Clearly I've been super busy because it's suddenly July and I don't quite understand how we're here yet!
Here is our BRAND NEW faux blossom tipi. Simple, on trend and a real show stopper. Who wouldn't want to say their vows in front of this beauty?!
Available to hire from just £250.

Another of my favourites because it's neon (hello!) and purple. Love, love, LOVE! This light up heart is available to hire from Love Lights the Way and looks fabulous as a sweetheart table backdrop but would make an incredible ceremony backdrop too. Maybe paired with one of our faux garlands.
You can find them here www.lovelightstheway.co.uk
Blank canvas to work with? Why not get creative with a floating floral piece like this couple did at the Birmingham Art Gallery. I really like how unstructured and whimsical this look is.

They've made their first appearance this year and are due to stick around for a while yet. Floral hoops are everywhere. Here's an image of our collaboration with Poppy Pickering stunning cakes. Her sugar floral hoop on a blush pink cake is a thing of absolute beauty.
Our faux hoops in the background would make such a sweet (no pun intended) ceremony backdrop. Have them just with faux foliage or add flowers to match your colour scheme.
